Located near Milton in northeast Caswell County, Virginia International Raceway (VIR) offers the best in sports car and motorcycle racing. The track has been regarded as perhaps the best in North American and has been compared favorably to many European Courses for its design and challenges. VIR also provides facilities for car testing, professional driver training, and automobile commercial filming.
The Richmond-Miles History Museum is located in the Graves-Florance-Gatewood House (circa 1822), also known as the Gatewood House. The museum is named for the paternal grandmothers of Thomas Richmond McPherson and Kathy Simmons McPherson, whose Richmond and Miles ancestors were in Caswell County before the Revolutionary War. |
